Location
The operation is located 12 kilometres from the town of Clermont in Central Queensland.
We transport coal by overland conveyor to stockpile and rail loading facilities at the nearby Blair Athol mine. It is then railed to Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal for export by ship.
Ownership
In 2014 Glencore and Sumitomo Corporation acquired Rio Tinto Australia's 50.1% shareholding in the mine, with Glencore becoming the mine operator.
Glencore manages the operation on behalf of a joint venture between Glencore and Sumitomo Corporation (37.1325% each), J-Power Australia Pty Ltd (22.235%) and JCD Australia Pty Ltd (3.5%).
Glencore continues to engage openly and regularly with the communities of Clermont and the broader Isaac Region of Queensland.
We are committed to engaging with all stakeholders, particularly those in the local community.
