Location
The mine is located 15 kilometres south-west of Singleton, near the villages of Broke and Bulga in New South Wales’ Upper Hunter Valley.
Ownership
Bulga Coal is a joint venture between Saxonvale Coal Pty Ltd (87.5%) and Nippon Steel Australia Pty Ltd (12.5%). Saxonvale Coal Pty Ltd is 100% owned by Oakbridge Pty Limited.
In turn, Oakbridge is an incorporated joint venture between Enex Oakbridge Pty Limited (83%), ENEOS Australia Pty Limited (15.2%) and JFE Shoji Corporation (1.8%). Enex Oakbridge Pty Limited is 100% owned by Glencore.

- Broke Fair – an annual community fair supporting local industry, involving over 60 market stalls, live music, vintage car exhibitions, food and wine, along with free tours of our mine for members of the public.
- Singleton Summer Reading Program – to encourage a continued love of reading and to improve general literacy skills, particularly among children and young people over the summer holidays.
